Bitcoin Wednesday is de grootste maandelijkse conferentie over de digitale valuta-revolutie in Nederland. Het evenement vindt altijd plaats op de eerste woensdag van de maand op een locatie in Amsterdam. Het is een multidisciplinaire conferentie die draait om het bouwen van de wereld van morgen met gedecentraliseerde digitale valutatechnologie, waarvan Bitcoin de eerste en bekendste is.
Zowel voor beginners als experts van Bitcoin. Investeerders, ondernemers, ontwikkelaars, miners, handelaars, juridische professionals vinden allemaal waarde in dit evenement. Brengt een diverse groep mensen van alle niveaus en achtergronden samen zonder belemmeringen om deze belangrijke nieuwe technologie een prominente rol te geven in de Nederlandse samenleving.
Een van de doelen van Bitcoin Wednesday is om de industrie te promoten, om het woord over Bitcoin (en verwante technologie) in Nederland te verspreiden door het algemene niveau van bewustzijn en kennis te verhogen.

“The Role of Bitcoin in the Monetary System” by Willem Middelkoop
Willem is the author of the best-selling book, “The Big Reset”, about an expected financial crisis. He is an outspoken critic of fiat currencies and is also the founder of the Commodity Discovery Fund that invests in natural resources like gold, silver, uranium, nickel and rare earth elements.
“Lightning Integration in the Electrum Bitcoin Wallet” by Thomas Voegtlin
Thomas is the creator of Electrum, among the first and best-known Bitcoin wallets, estimated to handle 10% of all Bitcoin transactions.
“Principles of Democracy by Design” by Jeremy Pitt
Jeremy is Professor of Intelligent and Self-Organizing Systems at Imperial College London. He is an authority on self-organizing autonomous networks and decentralized governance.
“WINGS: The DAO Platform for Crowd Sale Evaluation and Funding” by Dominik Zynis
Dominink is a co-founder of Wings, who has previously appeared at Bitcoin Wednesday in 2016 and early 2017. They raised $2 million in Ether when their own crowd sale closed at the end of 2016.
“The Failure of the Altcoin Market and What It Says About Bitcoin” by Tone Vays
Tone is a notorious Bitcoin maximalist, expert trader and risk analyst. He is also a former Wall Street insider who worked at Bear Stearns where two subprime hedge funds imploded during the crisis of 2008.
“Statebox: The Advantage of a Visual Process Language” by Jelle Herold
Jelle is the creator of Statebox, a logic-programming language for smart contracts that can be deployed across blockchains. He studied artificial intelligence at the University of Utrecht in The Netherlands, and has extensive experience working in the fields of electronics and mathematics.
